Professional 160D4 — 160mm / 6-Inch 3-Jaw Self-Centering Chuck, Form D Short-Taper Camlock

The 160D4 is built for short-taper lathe spindles that use Form D (camlock) retention. It mounts directly on the spindle nose with cam pins and studs; no separate adapter flange is required when your spindle matches this interface. Short taper reference angle 7°7′30″. Overall clamping envelope 3–160 mm (0.12–6.30 in) (same jaw geometry class as our plain-back models of the same diameter class).

Compatibility

You must verify that your lathe spindle nose short taper large-end size matches D1, and that the spindle is Form D (camlock retention). Also confirm the stud pattern (z–d) matches your machine. Machine swing must clear chuck body diameter D and fully opened jaws.

Maintenance

Clean and lubricate the scroll and gears with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) grease.

Safety

Never run with the chuck key engaged. Respect rated speeds for diameter and workpiece balance.
