Choose the Disc for the Job
- Aluminum oxide, 36-240 grit: choose a grit for sanding and surface preparation, then progress to a finer grade as the required finish allows.
- Zirconia, 40-120 grit: use for metal grinding, deburring and blending tasks suited to the selected grade.
- Nylon surface conditioning: coarse, medium and fine non-woven discs support cleaning, blending and finish preparation.
- Black stripping discs: work on surface rust and old paint in accessible areas.
- 60-grit mini flap discs: use for localized grinding and blending.
- Wool felt discs: use for buffing with a suitable polishing compound; compound is not included.

Holder Fit and Disc Changes
The included 2-inch holder has a 1/4-inch round shank for compatible drills, electric die grinders and pneumatic die grinders. The disc attachment uses an integral molded plastic thread on the backing. Confirm the holder, disc and tool connection before use; this is not a hook-and-loop sanding pad or a 7/8-inch angle-grinder wheel.
Disconnect the tool from power or air before changing accessories. Use the speed limit stated for the fitted disc and holder and follow the tool instructions. The assortment does not have a single confirmed maximum speed that can be applied to every disc.

Surface Preparation and Finish Selection
Select the abrasive type and grit for the material and the next finishing step. Test an inconspicuous area first, use controlled pressure and inspect the finish between stages. Stripping, sanding and polishing serve different purposes: a coarse disc does not replace final finish preparation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does 125 pieces mean 125 sanding discs?
No. The kit contains 124 consumable discs plus one holder. The storage case is additional to that count.
Is this the same as the 120-pack sanding disc set?
No. The 125-piece kit is a mixed assortment of six disc types. The 120-pack sanding disc set is a separate product for users who need a larger quantity of its sanding-disc selection.
Does the holder fit a drill?
The holder has a 1/4-inch round shank. Check that the drill or die grinder can hold that shank and that the selected disc and holder are suitable for its operating speed.
Are the conditioning discs sandpaper?
They are non-woven nylon surface conditioning discs. They are separate from the aluminum oxide and zirconia abrasive-cloth sanding discs in the kit.
Can I attach these to a 4.5-inch angle grinder?
Not directly. These use the matching 2-inch quick-change holder. For compatible angle grinders, see the separate 4.5-inch stripping discs.
